Youth First presents "In It to Win It" with COVID-19 Relief funding

Youth First is using their United Way COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund Phase 4 grant to present “In It to Win It: The 7 Habit Way,” a free virtual program for Monroe County middle school students.

The program aims to bring sixth through eighth grade students together virtually to make new friends, have fun, and learn the powerful life tools  based on Sean Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens," such as self-confidence, self-control, personal responsibility, time management, positive decision-making, and peer resistance skills.

“COVID-19 has put extraordinary pressures on kids in our community," said Youth First Regional Development Officer Becky Jessmer. "Because of the generosity of United Way of Monroe County in funding this program, our 6th to 8th graders have the opportunity to learn skills that will improve their self-confidence, self-control, personal responsibility, time management, positive decision-making, and more.”

“In It to Win It” will begin on Tuesday, February 16 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. and will be held at that time each Tuesday until April 6. All sessions will be held virtually.
