Farewell and Hello!

June 1, 2024

As we roll into summer, we are sending a big THANKS to our amazing interns who've been with us this school year! And also welcoming a new face to our summer team.

Farewell

Jamil

As the Programs and Outreach Fellow, Jamil Davis is the author of the Bank on Bloomington Dollars and Sense newsletter, and plays a key role in our programs such as the Free Community Tax Service and Take Action volunteer projects. He just finished his first year of his MPA at O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University and we're looking forward to welcoming him back in the fall.

Andrew

Andrew Holland served as the Grants and Impact Administration Fellow. He worked closely with grant funding proposals, Education Adventure Grants, and the development phases of the Choice Employer Program. He recently graduated with his MPA from O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. Huge thanks to the many ways Andrew contributed to our mission over the past 2 years. We'll miss you and wish you all the best!

Leah

As the IU United Way Campaign Coordinator, Leah Wolfe led the IU campus fundraising campaign by recruiting and managing volunteers, overseeing outreach, and planning events. In her role, she also served as the Graduate Advisor for Student United Way. She just finished the first year of her MPA at O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University concentrating in Environmental Policy, and next year she will be in Washington, DC for the O'Neill Washington, DC Accelerator Program. We wish her all the best!

Thomas

Big thanks to Thomas Zeedyk, who served as Administrative Assistant. Thomas is joining us through the IU Cox Scholar program and is a senior studying accounting at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He has been an incredible help to United Way as he focused on financial reporting projects that lined up directly with his degree.

Additionally, he researched community needs to help us prepare for future strategic planning. Thomas always brought a great attitude and directly used his coursework to help United Way.  We're excited to welcome Thomas back this fall for his final semester!

Hello!

Carter

We're thrilled to welcome Carter Inskeep as our summer Community Impact Associate! Carter is a Junior at O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, majoring in Public Financial Management with a minor in German (and dreams of living in Cologne for a few months). He shared with us, "My pride and joy is Ladybug, my Siamese/American Shorthair mix cat. In my free time, I watch RuPaul’s Drag Race and play tennis. I’m excited to dive into nonprofit work!" We're looking forward to an amazing summer together!
